PENGARUH PENGGUNAAN BAHAN TAMBAH VIATOP66 PADA CAMPURAN STONE MATRIX ASPHALT TERHADAP TITIK LEMBEK ASPAL DAN SIFAT DRAIN DOWN CAMPURAN

Abstract

In this study, the mixture of Stone Matrix Asphalt (SMA) was examined, by modifying the asphalt using cellulose fiber in the form of viatop66 as additive materials. The addition of cellulose fibers is expected to increase the asphalt softening point so that the drain down of Stone Matrix Asphalt can be reduced. The results of this study indicate that the use of viatop⁶⁶ succeeded in raising the softening point of asphalt and the drain down of the mixture of Stone Matrix Asphalt is reduced significantly.

Abstrak

Pada studi ini diteliti campuran Stone Matrix Asphalt (SMA) dengan melakukan modifikasi aspal dengan menambahkan bahan tambah serat selulosa berupa viatop⁶⁶. Penambahan serat selulosa ini diharapkan mengubah titik lembek aspal menjadi lebih tinggi sehingga menurunkan drain down campuran Stone Matrix Asphalt. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan viatop⁶⁶ berhasil menaikkan titik lembek aspal dan sifat drain down campuran Stone Matrix Asphalt berkurang secara signifikan.
