Author Guidelines

A. GENERAL

Jurnal Administrasi Publik solicites articles reflecting fresh theoretical thought and scientific research, both basic and applied research in the field of Public Policy and Public Administration, as well as recommendations on how public policy and administration theories should be brought into best practices. Submitted articles will be selected using a double-blind peer-reviewed. Articles must be original, has not been published and is not being considered for publication by other publishers, both at home and abroad. The manuscript can be a further improved version of a working paper presented in a particular workshop or seminar.

B. TECHNICALITIES

Jurnal Administrasi Publik encourages contibutors to write their articles both in Bahasa Indonesia as well as in English. Theoretical articles should consist of title; abstract and keywords; introduction which include background, formulation of the problem studied, and objective of the assessment; literature review and discussion, conclusions and suggestions; and bibliography. Meanwhile research articles should consist of title; abstract and keywords; introduction which include background, formulation of the research problem, research objectives; literature review of the theory and findings of relevant previous research; research methodology used; results of research and analysis; conclusions and suggestions; and bibliography.

Title; should reflect the content of the article, interesting and brief (it is not more than 20 words). If the paper is a further development of a working paper presented in a workshop or seminar, it shall be mentioned in the footnotes .

Name of author; the author's name should be written after the title of article without academic title. If the author's name more than one person , all should be included. Name of the institution and e-mail addresses listed in the author footnote.

Length of articles should be ranged from  5,000  to 6,000 words (outside tables, pictures and graphs) , typed with double spacing on A4 paper size and the font Times New Roman size 12.

Abstract; each  article should be accompanied by abstract in  two languages (English and Indonesian)  and is not more than 300 words , typed single-spaced and accompanied by key words between 3 to 5 words.

Quotes; every quote should mention the complete source and is written in footnote system, for example:

                Sunstein , Cass R. 2013. Simpler : The Future of Government . Simon & Schuster , New York , p . 201.          (Pp.201 - 209 ) .

Bibliography; writers are obliged to served bibliography following the APA way (Harvard) which are sorted alphabetically and chronologically , for example:

                O'Toole , Laurence J. 1977. " Treating Networks Seriously : Practical Research - Base Agenda in Public         Administration . " Public Administration Review 57 : 45-52 .

                Sunstein , Cass R. ( 2013) . Simpler : The Future of Government . NewYork : Simon & Schuster .

Writer's  copy; writers whose writings are published , will receive 1 (one ) copy of the journal as evidence of publicaation and will be sent by courier to the address of the author. Article which is not published will not be returned, unless there is a request from the author.
