Abstract

Penyebaran wabah COVID-19 membuka peluang pada munculnya konflik-konflik di masyarakat. Konflik ini bersifat horizontal maupun vertikal. Penyebaran wabah COVID-19 ini telah memukul kondisi ekonomi sebagian warga. Hal tersebut kemudian menjalar sehingga menyebabkan kegelisahan sosial di tengah masyarakat. Tulisan ini membahas tentang potensi konflik akibat COVID-19 dengan pendekatan studi konflik dan perdamaian yang dipadukan dengan pendekatan struktural. Salah satu argument utama dari tulisan ini adalah ketakutan atas munculnya konflik berakar dari ketidaktahuan atas unsur-unsur yang menjadi pra-kondisi atas situasi konflik tersebut. Konflik, selanjutnya, merupakan akumulasi dari berbagai faktor yang saling berkelindan satu sama lain.
