Author Guidelines

Authors are advised to follow these guidelines carefully to ensure smooth processing of manuscripts through submission, review, and publication stages. Incomplete or non-compliant submissions will be returned for correction prior to peer review.


Submission Procedure

Manuscripts must be submitted through the online submission system. Authors must log in or create an account to submit. We recommend using an official institutional email address (e.g., ending in .ac, .edu, or other university/organization domains) for registration and correspondence, if applicable.

The following three documents must be uploaded as separate files:

  1. Submission Form
    A signed and scanned copy of the official Submission Form (Download Template), declaring originality, authorship, and copyright transfer. This document must be uploaded in .pdf format.

  2. Manuscript File
    The manuscript must follow the Jurnal RISA Template (Download Template).

    • Written in Bahasa Indonesia or English

    • Word count between 3000–4000 words (excluding Author name and affiliation, abstract, and references)

    • Use IMRaD structure: Introduction, Methods, Results, and Discussion

    • Use APA referencing style

    • References: minimum 15; at least 50% must be from the last 5 years, and 50% must be primary sources

    • Tables and figures (combined total) must not exceed 12 items

    • Save as .doc or .docx file

  3. Supporting Figures and Tables

    • Upload high-quality images individually (recommended resolution: 720–1920 px)

    • Label clearly as Gambar 1, Tabel 1, etc.

    • Each figure or table must be cited in the manuscript


Revision Process

If revision is required, authors must submit the following:

  1. Revised Manuscript

    • Use highlighted text or track changes to indicate all edits

  2. Revision Note

  3. Updated Supporting Documents

    • Reupload any modified figures or tables

  4. References File

    • Upload your reference file exported from your citation manager (e.g., Mendeley, Zotero) in .RIS format.

Submission Preparation Checklist

All submissions must meet the following requirements.

  • The manuscript is original, has not been published elsewhere, and is not under consideration in another journal.
  • The manuscript fits the scope of Jurnal RISA, which includes (1) History, Theory, and Philosophy of Architecture; (2) Housing and Settlement; (3) Architecture and Urban Design; and (4) Building Technology and Management..
  • The final version of this manuscript has been reviewed and approved by all listed authors.
  • There is no conflict of interest beyond what has been disclosed (if any).
  • All contributors who qualify for authorship have been listed; those who contributed but do not meet authorship criteria have been acknowledged appropriately.

Privacy Statement

The names, email addresses, and other personal information entered in this journal site will be used exclusively for the stated purposes of Jurnal RISA (Riset Arsitektur) and will not be made available for any other purpose or to any other party.

All data provided by users—authors, reviewers, and readers—are securely stored and managed by the editorial team of Jurnal RISA, Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Katolik Parahyangan. This information is used only to support:

  • Manuscript processing and publication

  • Peer review and editorial communication

  • Journal-related announcements and notifications

We do not sell, share, or otherwise disclose user data to third parties without explicit consent, except when required by law. Users may contact the editorial team to request updates, corrections, or deletion of their data, in accordance with privacy protection standards. By registering or submitting your manuscript, you agree to the terms outlined in this privacy policy.
